Tennis Channel will broadcast coverage of the 2008 Sony Ericsson Championships Doha in the United States.
Live round robin action from the season-ending tournament begins on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
The world’s top eight singles players and top four doubles teams from the 2008 Sony Ericsson WTA Tour season will compete for the Championships and a share of the record prize money of $4.45 million.
World No.1 Jelena Jankovic, Roland Garros champion Ana Ivanovic, US Open champion Serena Williams, Roland Garros finalist Dinara Safina, Beijing Olympic Gold Medalist Elena Dementieva, former US Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova, Wimbledon champion Venus Williams, and Beijing Olympic Bronze Medalist Vera Zvonareva have qualified for the singles competition.
Cara Black and Liezel Huber, Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual, Katarina Srebotnik and Ai Sugiyama, and Kveta Peschke and Rennae Stubbs will compete in the doubles field.
The singles final will be aired on ESPN2, followed by a same-day repeat on Tennis Channel.
