Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki Join Andy Roddick and Babolat for Rock-n-Racquets Tour

Former world number one Serena Williams and rising WTA Tour player Caroline Wozniacki will join Andy Roddick for his annual Rock-n-Racquets exhibitions.
This special tour is sponsored by Babolat, one of the leading manufacturers of tennis products.
Benefiting The Andy Roddick Foundation, Rock-n-Racquets features the world’s most exciting tennis players in a special exhibition. Louisville, KY, Columbia, SC, and Knoxville, TN, play hosts to the sports world’s elite superstars in this annual tennis exhibition.
Andy Roddick (Current world #6) and 2008 US Open Champion Serena Williams (Nine Grand Slam Titles) will team up on court together in Rock-n-Racquets. America’s #1 players will be joined by up and coming American star John Isner and the WTA Tour’s newest sensation Team Babolat Caroline Wozniacki, currently #12 in the world rankings. The synergy of athleticism and music throughout the line-up provides fans with the ultimate sports/entertainment experience.
Rock-n-Racquets successfully debuted in 2002 in Miami, FL and was followed by additional exhibitions in Little Rock, AR, Mobile, AL, Boise, ID, Wichita, KS and Omaha, NE.
“From the start, I wanted an event that showcased my passion for tennis, music and the Andy Roddick Foundation, so we created Rock-n-Racquets,” said Roddick. “And thanks to Babolat for supporting these events in cities where the tennis community and participation is so strong.”

Showcasing the best in men’s and women’s professional tennis, the Rock-n-Racquets format consists of three components:
• Men’s and Women’s Singles – Roddick will take on Isner and Serena will take on Caroline as the present takes on the future of tennis.
• Mixed Doubles – Roddick and Serena will team up against Isner and Caroline to compete in a mixed doubles match.
The evening will be complemented by music and an atmosphere of high-energy and fun. In Columbia, SC, Justin Gimelstob, dubbed to be one of the most entertaining players on the ATP Tour during his playing days, will serve as event emcee and entertain the crowd through fan interactive activities.
In Louisville, KY, and Knoxville, TN, Wayne Bryan, father of the Bryan brothers, will take his turn at the mic as event emcee.

i went to the tennis thing today at the thompson-boling arena,and it was AMAZING!!!!!!
it was one of the best nights of my life!! although im only 14!! hehe i was in the front row,but i could not get an autograph from andy or serena or caroline or john!! i REALLY wanted andys autograph!! i wish i could shake his hand!! he was HOT!! haha anyways,todays program made me realize that i really do like tennis. lately, ive not really liked tennis but andy reminded me that i really do like it. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!! and PLEASE come back soon!! maybe like,next year?! i will DEFINATELY go!! (:
