I hope Daniela, Jelena Dkc & Tatiana Golovin will make it back up, they are nice to watch playing. I will also be hoping Venus makes Wimbledon masterhod extend to the rest of the season. Bathanie is also someone I will be soporting very highly.

I’m hoping that Serena can manage to win at least 3 slams next year, it’s really fun to watch her, seeing her sheer determination and a love in winning, I hope that the sisters can meet more in a grandslam final rather than the earlier stages….I’m hoping to see on how can maria sharapova can get back her stance in the tennis world again….

    Andrei,

You’ve raised an excellent point about Maria Sharapova. I am definitely looking forward to watching her compete in Australia.

She has a lot at stake in Melbourne, because if she fails to defend the bulk of her ranking points from last year’s title run, her ranking is going to drop significantly.

My favorite all time player is Pete Sampras. This year I will be watching Federer, Roddick, Nadal, Murray, Nalbandian, Blake, Tsonga, and Fish. On the womens side I will probably watch Sarina Williams, Vinus Williams, Safina, Sharapova, and Davenport. I will also watch anything Pete Sampras participates in. I have played or coached tennis since I was 13. I am 60 now and can no longer participate due to my health, but I still have the passion for it. I just finished writing a book called A TENNIS LOVE STORY that will be out in a couple of months. Tennis is great!

Hoping to see JJ win a slam, I think if she does it’ll be at the French … Also pleased to see Dokic win an AO wildcard and hope she can carry her momentum into the 2009 season. Will also be good to have Maria back in action – her performance at the 2008 Aust Open was amazing and I would love to see a repeat.

As always- Maria Kirilenko :) I would love to see Vera Zvonereva win a slam. But the one too watch is young Russian Star and 4 time Junior slam winner and ITF world Champ Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova now ranked #46 on the tour.

Thanks for the site Aaress, and best wishes for 2009!

    :)

I also would like to see Hantuchova, Golovin, and Dokic get on a better track next year. It is great to see Dokic back but I would like her to do well enough for me to see her our TV. I would like Zvonareva to stay in the top 10 and to win more finals. Last year she had many chances to win more titles. Wozniacki is another one I hope continues. I have many I keep track of but let’s end with Larcher de Brito and here’s hoping Sharapova can get better and Chakvetadse get on track.
