Jelena Dokic’s comeback road has taken a decided turn for the better as Tennis Australia announced that the former top five star has been added to the Australian Fed Cup team.
Dokic, who has had a tempestuous relationship with the Australian governing tennis body for many years, recently made amends with the association. She was awarded direct entry into the upcoming Australian Open after winning last month’s wild card playoff tournament hosted by Tennis Australia.
Australian No. 1 player Samantha Stosur has also been named to the Fed Cup squad, along with Casey Dellacqua and Rennae Stubbs.
