Ana Ivanovic will compete next week at the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championship with a new coach at her side.
The reigning French Open champion announced on Wednesday that she has hired Craig Kardon as her coach.
The pair will start working together next week in Dubai on a trial basis, according to Ivanovic’s official website.
“I’m happy to begin working with Craig,” Ivanovic said. “We’re going to see how it goes in the beginning and then I’ll make a decision about the longer-term future.
“I feel like I made good progress during the Fed Cup tie and I’m not so far away from finding my old form. Craig has a lot of experience, he encourages attacking tennis and I am hopeful we will achieve some good results together.”
Kardon, 47, has also worked with Lindsay Davenport, Martina Navratilova, Jennifer Capriati and Mary Pierce.
