    I’m so happy to see this. I mean just think Dementieva has had pretty good success against the girls in the top 15 (or even top 10)for years based on her skillful groundstrokes. Now with a consistent serve she can cut down on all the free points she needlessly would give away through double faults and weak second serves.

    it seems like her toss was the source of the problems with her erratic serve. So, if that’s under control now then Dementieva just needs to focus on her nerves during the big points.

    Hopefully, Dementieva is peaking at the right time. And if her Wimbledon performance against Serena is any indicator then she will continue to do very well against the top 5 girls in 2009 and more than likely consistently dominate girls ranked under 15.
