Molik, who retired from professional tennis last year, was ranked as high as No. 8 in singles and No. 6 in doubles.

According to the Herald Sun, Molik is believed to be considering a return to the Tour circuit with a primary focus on doubles.

“Molik is fit and injury-free after regular sessions at Melbourne Park and ready for another tilt on the pro circuit, with doubles believed to be her major focus at this stage,” wrote Mark Stevens on Thursday.

“Sources close to Molik have confirmed she is excited at the prospect of another crack at top level tennis.”

Although she enjoyed a successful career in singles, Molik was the winner of seven Sony Ericsson WTA Tour doubles titles including the 2005 Australian Open (with Svetlana Kuznetsova) and the 2007 French Open (with Mara Santangelo).
