Describe Justine Henin in One Word!

Published by Aaress Lawless on Dec 11, 2009 | Print |

How would you describe Justine Henin, her personality, or her game?

After an absence of a year and a half in retirement, former world number one Justine Henin is set to make her return to tennis in three weeks at the 2010 Brisbane International.

How would you describe Henin, her personality, or her game? Tell us your opinion in the comments section!

The rules are simple—you can only use one word. Afterward, if you choose, you can give us a paragraph or two explaining why you picked that word.

Just as a reminder, please keep the conversation civil. OTB’s comment policy is non-negotiable, so anything personally degrading or unduly harsh will be deleted.

    One word only? ;) INCOMPARABLE

And on a side note why would Justine want what Kim has? She has more grand slam, lived a life far beyond her young age. I doubt Henin every thought “I wish I were Kim!”.

Justin Henin is a great champion with the heart and the skills. Her comeback will prove to one and all that she will continue to be a big persona in the sport. And “Hurrah” for one of my favorite tennis players.

    Inspiring.

It reminds me that tennis isn’t about being over 6′ tall, or having a body that is more muscular than “average”, it’s about skill and desire. It’s not something you born with, or “create”, it is something that must be within you, it’s the heart and soul of a champion.

    suspect.

After rumours surfaced that Henin retired to escape drug testing, and has returned after more than a year, having rid herself of all traces of substance abuse.

Do you really think that Henin was not frequently tested for drugs before her retirement? And do you really think that, had she not been able to give satisfactory results, she would be free to return to tennis within two years?
