Yeah, good call on Ana. Hopefully she'll regain her form and reach for the trophy in 2010.

Azarenka and Ivanovic (both pending health issues); Wozniacki already has proven she can be a force, and Sabine Lisicki seems to have what it takes to reach down deep and gut one out.

Still young and developing players, Sorana Cirstea and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova are working hard - payoff soon?

Well, i have to say that there will always be players to watch out for in tennis but as its a long season im not sure if anyone will really come through firing as it's about having that consistency which seems to be lacking, im surprised that no one has so far mentioned Li na and samantha stosur as they both had a good run on the tour last year for some of the time. It would be good to see wickmayer do well or even a new face who goes against what people expect a female tennis player to represent. In my opinion venus and serena have nothing else to prove so it doesn't matter if they don't win a grand slam. Im sure we will all enjoy what happens. Take care to you all

In singles, I'll be watching the two returnees (Henin and Clijsters), Yanina Wickmayer, Kai-Chen Chang, Alexandra Dulgheru, Sabine Lisicki, Na Li, Shuai Peng, Aravane Rezai, Lucie Safarova, Sorana Cirstea and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. As for doubles, I hope to see big things from the pairing of Su-Wei Hsieh and Shuai Peng. They work so brilliantly together (they won three Premier titles this year in Sydney, Rome and Beijing) and deserve success.
