Ana Ivanovic Hires New Fitness Trainer

Ivanovic’s management announced on Wednesday that the 2008 Roland Garros champion has hired Australian Damian Prasad.

Former world number one Ana Ivanovic will begin her 2010 Sony Ericsson WTA Tour season with a new fitness trainer by her side.

Ivanovic’s management announced on Wednesday that the 2008 Roland Garros champion has hired Australian Damian Prasad.

The pair have begun working together on a trial basis, with the Victoria resident set to be present at Ana’s forthcoming tournaments in Australia.

Prior to joining Ana’s team, Prasad was an integral part of the Australian Institute of Sport Tennis Program.

Prasad, a strength and conditioning coach and soft tissue therapist, has a Masters of Exercise Science degree and has formerly worked with many professional tennis players, including Nadia Petrova and Eleni Daniilidou and ATP players Nicolas Kiefer, Wayne Arthurs and Raemon Sluiter.
