The highlight for me was the fourth-round match between Vera Zvonarëva and Victoria Azarenka, which contained excellent (if inconsistent) tennis between two great players who are the perfect foil for each other.

Maria Sharapova v Maria Kirilenko is the one match I'll be ordering from Tennis Videos International, since the BBC didn't show it.

Compared to the way Kim Clijsters lost - Maria Sharapova didn't do that badly - She fought through 3 sets and with a little luck she could have won and been back as a whole different player in the next round - It wasn't Masha's day - Her whole body language confirmed that - Usually Masha don't show any special emotions when she makes an unforced error - but against Maria Kirilenko she showed a whole lot of dejectedness - I'm sure it's to early to dismiss Masha as a top tennis player as many "experts" have already - Let's see how she does in her next tennis tournaments - of which 3 are on hard court - That will give us a way better insight about Masha's form and ability to get herself in the top 10 again and/or win another major this year

Hello Paula,
I am impressed with Li Na's performance. She is a real THREAT (from China and MAY know martial arts) for other top players. I feel pity for Victoria Azarenka. Though she was UP by 4-0 and a set, she lost and it was an example exhibiting Serena's mental strength.

Even though you are in match point, you can't say "I'll win for sure" and on the other hand, you can rise from any moment. This is the FANTASTIC aspect of the tennis.

In the Grandslam matches, I've seen a lot of players doing so well before they meet Federer and when they play against him, they look like ordinary (exceptions are rare) and it shows the Federer's _______ (what to say, choice is yours), and I BELIEVE there are only two players in the world who can consistently beat him, one of them is Nadal and the other is _______ (now, my choice and it's me - note that word I believe). It's new to me receiving instant messages from tennis followers. Vijay and Alan, always nice to see and hear both of them together. AND for me, the moments I liked the most were when STAR sports showed the children crying, dancing, ...
