Craving something sweet this weekend? Whip up a batch of Maria Sharapova’s now famous Chocolate Chip Cookies!

As part of its new Spring 2010 line, Cole Haan has partnered with fashion photographer Todd Selby to create a new advertising campaign, “The Inspired Life.” The imagery celebrates family, friends, art, nature, community, competition, adventure, and love — the forces that drive and color our lives.

The campaign portrays real life individuals wearing Cole Haan, chosen for their unique approaches to life and style, reflective of the Cole Haan brand.

Maria Sharapova is one of the featured participants and shared her chocolate chip cookie recipe in one of the brand’s advertisements.

Nice. Except I am not a big fan of walnuts in my chocolate chip cookies. Glad that’s optional.

    Love the photo, though.

So I made Maria’s chocolate chip cookie recipe over the weekend. I couldn’t bring myself to using the bittersweet chocolate chips, so I went with the semisweet. I also added sliced almonds instead of the walnuts. Unbelievably good! Unfortunately, I can’t stop eating them.
