BNP Paribas, title sponsor of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA, is proud to announce its upcoming recycling initiative with Rebounces, organizers of the first national tennis ball recycling campaign.
BNP Paribas is encouraging tennis players everywhere to bring their old tennis balls to the BNP Paribas Open and recycle them to keep old balls out of landfills and bring them back to the court.
Rebounces, a carbon negative company, re-pressurizes tennis balls using a revolutionary technology to restore dead balls back to their original bounce.
Rebounces collected over one-hundred thousand balls in 2009 and is expecting to collect over five-hundred thousand balls in 2010. FedEx Ground, the small-package ground shipping service, will donate the transportation of the used tennis balls back to Rebounces’ headquarters in Harrison, Arkansas.
How to do your part: round-up those old balls and bring them to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

What to do: Recycle your used tennis balls at the BNP Paribas Open at the designated drop off area.
During the opening and closing weekends of the tournament (March 12-13 & March 20-21) there is an added incentive to partake in the recycling initiative; for every six balls you bring to recycle, you will earn a can of three new balls (*while supplies last.)
