Fed Cup by BNP Paribas – World Group Semifinals, and World Group and World Group II Team Nominations

The ITF has announced the team nominations for the 2011 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group semifinals, and World Group and World Group II play-off ties to be played on 16-17 April. The World Group II play-off tie between Japan and Argentina has been postponed until 16-17 July, and will be played at the Bourbon Beans Dome in Kobe , Japan .

Live scoring for the World Group semifinals, and World Group and World Group II play-off ties will be available on the Fed Cup website www.fedcup.com throughout the weekend.

In addition to live scoring, for the first time both www.fedcup.com and www.fedcup.com/es will feature reports, photographs and audio interviews from all the ties. There is also the Fed Cup Radio audio service.

Fed Cup by BNP Paribas is the largest annual international team competition in women’s sport, with 90 nations entered in 2011. The event was established in 1963 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the ITF. The title sponsor is BNP Paribas, the Official Bank of Fed Cup. Adecco (Official HR Partner) and BoscoSport (Official Clothing Sponsor) are international sponsors, and Wilson Sporting Goods (Official Ball) is an international partner.
