Deal Includes More than a Dozen WTA Premier Events and Year-End Championships

ISTANBUL, TURKEY – Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) players and TEB BNP Paribas, the title sponsor of the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships, made a joint donation of US$250,000 to the Turkish Red Crescent to support the victims of the recent devastating earthquake in Turkey.

ISTANBUL, TURKEY – The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) announced today that it made a donation of $25,000 to USANA Health Sciences’ (NYSE: USNA) “Ace Out Hunger” program, a charity that raises money for some of the world’s neediest children. All of the funds raised for “Ace Out Hunger” will go to Children’s Hunger Fund, a global nonprofit organization fighting hunger in impoverished regions around the world.

Semifinals day at the WTA Champions proved the day of contrasts as Petra Kvitova and Victoria Azarenka booked their places in the final in two completely different ways.

Marion Bartoli may have arrived late to the party in Istanbul, with only Maria Sharapova’s withdrawal allowing her to compete in the final round robin match. But as always, the quirky Frenchwoman had heads turning upon her arrival.

Day Three saw Victoria Azarenka & Petra Kvitova qualify for the semifinals with two classy performances against Li Na and Caroline Wozniacki respectively. Agnieszka Radwanska and Vera Zvonareva had an epic match with the Pole saving three match points to come back and win the final set 7-5!
