World No. 1 Justine Henin’s quest for a fifth Roland Garros title will begin this week at the Qatar Telecom German Open.
The Belgian star is headlining the Tier I tournament in Berlin as the top seed, but has a tricky draw which could set her up for a quarterfinal against Serena Williams.

World No. 1 Justine Henin was honored by the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour on Thursday as the 2007 Player of the Year.
Last season Henin won her fourth (and third consecutive) French Open title, the US Open, and the season-ending Championships.

The Pacific Life Open crowned a new champion on Sunday as top seed Ana Ivanovic captured the 2008 women’s singles title.
Ivanovic defeated second seed Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4, 6-3 to win the Tier I tournament in Indian Wells, California.

Jelena Jankovic completed the 2008 Pacific Life Open semifinals on Thursday after Lindsay Davenport retired with a back injury.
Jankovic, the third seed at the Tier I tournament, was leading 6-2 when Davenport could not continue playing.
