Russia’s Dinara Safina followed up her momentous victory against Justine Henin yesterday by defeating Serena Williams today in Berlin.
Safina, who previously had not scored two back-to-back Top 10 wins since May 2006, ousted Serena in three sets 2-6, 6-1, 7-6(5).
